The BLUE-LINK Network is composed of the Federal University of Rio Grande – FURG (South), the Federal University of Amapá – UNIFAP (North), the Federal University of the Parnaíba Delta – UFDPar (Northeast), the State University of Feira de Santana – UEFS (Northeast), and the Fisheries Institute – IP (Southeast). At its core, the Network brings together a diversity of regions, local realities, and levels of internationalization.
The BLUE-LINK Network encompasses four thematic areas, ranging from fields of knowledge related to biodiversity, sustainable development, climate change and its socio-environmental consequences, to areas that strengthen the Blue Economy, biotechnological innovation, and the perspective of human health within the One Health framework.
The Network will serve as a cluster of excellence for the training of researchers and professionals capable of responding, through an interdisciplinary approach, to the challenges posed by the climate and environmental emergency and their significant social impacts. The proposal is grounded in cooperation among the participating institutions, with the aim of strengthening their national and international engagement.
