The Network aims to expand opportunities, integrate knowledge, and strengthen collaborative actions that contribute to reducing regional inequalities and promoting academic excellence through internationalization. By centering its proposal on the vocation and expertise of FURG, the coordinating higher education institution — a University focused on Coastal and Oceanic Ecosystems — and on the regional socio-environmental context of the partner institutions, the Network demonstrates its commitment to local, regional, national, and global development, bringing together distinct yet highly complementary fields of knowledge that enhance its overall impact.
